It is found in Bhutan, China, and India.In July 2009, A renowed field ornithologist Mr. Shahid Iqbal recorded 5 birds near Shimshal Lake,Hunza at the altitude of 15000 feet 4965 meters above sea level.This is a new bird record for Pakistan.
