What Do We Do?

Environment & Bio-Diversity Education

Safwan Foundation’s primary objective is to improve awareness among students and understanding of the environment & bio-diversity with a view to promoting the conservation and sustainable use of nature and natural resources, leading to a better environment and a better quality of life. To this end, Safwan Foundation develops innovative programmes and educational material, and builds capacity in the field of Environment & Bio-diversity education. Safwan Foundation has largest and biggest indigenous portal of Environment & Bio-diversity education with a global perspective for students (Age Group (7-15) of Pakistan. We named this portal “Qudrat Kahani” which means “’The Tale of Nature”It is a landmark in environment & biodiversity education for 36.9 million students of this country in particular.

Agriculture Development

Pakistan is an agriculture based country with most of its population living in rural areas practicing agriculture, yet it is one of the many developing nations facing a serious food crisis that is speculated to cause wide scale food riots if the problems are not taken care of at the earliest.

Safwan Foundation is currently involved in projects ranging from Tissue Culture to Water Management, we have a broad horizon in front of us and we feel that there is a lot more to do. And this feeling has not been put aside; we are constantly striving to bring the rays of hope and long lasting prosperity to the marginalized communities in rural areas of the country. Having expertise in areas of biodiversity, ecological agriculture, natural resource management, sericulture development, fisheries, modern seed technology, forestry and range management, women empowerment, food security, social mobilization, and live stock management

Wildlife Conservation

Safwan Foundation has mandate to promote environmental conservation of natural resources, the forests, flora, fauna, their habitat and species, ecosystems and biodiversity, minimize environmental damage and pollution, take measures to prevent the loss of threatened or endangered globally significant species and vulnerable vegetation, asses biological resources and development of an ecological information database.
