1. To establish, manage, maintain, own, administer, promote and subsidize research centres for conducting, promoting and carrying out research in various aspects of bio-resources and to utilize the same for betterment of bio-resources and environment.

2.To promote environmental conservation of natural resources, the forests, flora, fauna, their habitat and species, ecosystems and biodiversity, minimize environmental damage and pollution, take measures to prevent the loss of threatened or endangered globally significant species and vulnerable vegetation, asses biological resources and development of an ecological information database.                                                                                                                                      untitled  imageR8J

3.To trained professionals in ecology, natural resource management, forestry, and environment and to assess biological resources and to develop an ecological information base to enhance public awareness and provide environmental education in schools.

4.To promote, organize, manage, establish, facilitate, collaborate, coordinate, administer, and run institutions/ research centres/ committee/  think-tanks for introduction, development of infrastructure for agri- farming , social development, waste-management and its  recycling with modern and latest techniques/ technical assistance and advice, with the permission , if required , of competent authority, provided that the company shall not indulge in the commercial business thereof.

5.To establish, manage, maintain, own, administer, promote and subsidize educational institutions, computer literacy centres, schools, colleges, institutions for study and research, centres of learning, reading rooms, hostels, boarding houses, and other institutions for basic education, adult literacy, advanced studies and other educational setup with the permission of competent authority but not to act as a degree awarding institute.

6. To provide scholarships to the deserving/ needy students and grant aid including      supply of books, stipends, medals, prizes, grants, awards, medicines, educational career support,  and other incentives for purposes of advancement of knowledge, education and literacy.

7. To work for development of human resources, poverty alleviation, promotion of social and economic well being of the masses, betterment of health, improvement of social status, social mobilization for prosperous society, elimination of gender discrimination and pollution free environment particularly in the rural areas of Pakistan.

 

 







UN declared 2010 as International Year of Biodiversity. - New Bird Record for Pakistan The Tibetan Lark (Melanocorypha maxima) is a species of lark in the Alaudidae family. It is found in Bhutan, China, and India.In July 2009, A renowed field ornithologist Mr. Shahid Iqbal recorded 5 birds near Shimshal Lake,Hunza at the altitude of 15000 feet 4965 meters above sea level.This is a new bird record for Pakistan.
